With funding from the Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy StMWI, VEC Imaging is developing a prototype for a cost effective, compact, lightweight, portable Static CT Scanner for medical applications. This system is based on our nanotube (NT) multi-beam field emission X-ray technology (MBFEX) technology. Using a stationary gantry with several individually controllable NT-based emitters, we are creating a completely new CT imaging modality that goes beyond the current state of the art Computer Tomography
